Mary Schimpff Coat of Arms Brooch

• Sterling silver coat of arms brooch by  Mary Schimpff .
• This brooch depicts a coat of arms featuring a standing lion, a possible jester or scholar figure, and a possible oil lamp or inkwell.  The shield is accented with a foliage design and crowned knights helmet.  The jester/scholar figure appears at the top of the brooch as well. 
• Brooch made of Sterling Silver. 
  
• Reverse of brooch stamped : "Schimpff" and "Sterling". 
• Schimpff made a number of these coat of arms brooches, each one was unique and featured different imagery. 
• This brooch measures 1 7/8" x 2 3/8". 
• Made between 1940-1950.
