Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Insignia Brooch with two Ancestor Brooches
Original blue and white official DAR ribbon in good condition.
Insignia brooch features a spinning wheel and distaff with the words "DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION" on a blue enamel border, surrounded by thirteen stars.
Reverse of insignia brooch marked "J.E.C.&Co", "14K", "Jane Beville Ashley", and member number "454183". Insignia brooch weighs 6 grams. Ashley joined DAR in 1957.
Enamel in very good condition.
Ancestor brooches read: "David Hendricks" and "Joseph Reavis". Reverse of ancestor brooches marked "J.E.C.&Co" and "14K". Each ancestor brooch weighs 3 grams.
Brooch measures 3.125" x 1.25" total with ribbon. The insignia brooch measures 1.5" x 1.25". Each ancestor brooch measures 1.75" wide.
Made in the 1950s.
