• Brooch features a blue and yellow striped ribbon with an attached CDXVII miniature insignia charm and sewn brooch backing. 
• Charm features a woman in colonial hat and dress surrounded by thirteen stars and the text: "COLONIAL DAMES XVII CENTURY" on a blue enamel background. 
• Original safety catch brooch mechanism in good condition. 
• Reverse of charm marked "14k", "5259", and "J.E.C.Co" for J.E. Caldwell Co. 
• Metal charm is made from 14kt yellow gold and weighs 1.5 grams. 
• Brooch measures 2.75" x 0.75". 
• Made from 1890s - 1950s.
