Butterfly Wing Pendant Necklace with Woman in Garden
Necklace features a round pendant with a reverse painted crystal cabochon backed with butterfly wing from the Blue Morpho butterfly. The painting is of a woman with a hat and shawl holding a watering can with flowers in the background. The pendant is suspended from a flower shaped bail and has a rounded silver border.
Necklace chain has original spring ring style clasp.
Clasp marked "STERLING". Reverse of pendant marked "STERLING SILVER ENGLAND 202213". (Patent #202213 was granted to Shipton & Co. of Birmingham, England, in 1922 for their use of butterfly wings in jewelry.)
Necklace chain measures 16". Pendant measures 1.5" x 0875".
